Get A Glimpse Into The Future Of The Cannabis Industry

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love video games. I am an avid collector of coin-op arcade games. At one point I owned 36 machines, although I have since widdled that down to 10 machines (it’s an addiction, I’m working on it). One thing that I always look forward to is the E3 show, which is considered by many to be ‘the’ video game event. It is where people can see ‘the future of gaming’ on display. Many video game companies debut their new products at the event, which is why it is so popular among video game enthusiasts.

For the most part every major industry has ‘the event’ that entrepreneurs and inventors show off the latest innovations for that industry. In the cannabis industry I would have to give that event distinction to the upcoming Seed-To-Sale Show put on by the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA). No other event out there is quite like it. There are all types of cannabis related events these days, many of which leave a lot to be desired. I have attended NCIA events in the past, and I can say from first hand experience that they are stellar. It’s not coincidence that they won ‘Best Business Event’ at The Cannabist Awards.

The Seed-To-Sale Show is going to be amazing. One of the most common questions that I get asked by people is ‘what will the cannabis industry look like a year from now, five years from now, ten years from now…’ For the last few months I have always pointed people towards this event because what will be standard in the cannabis industry down the road will be on display at the Seed-To-Sale Show on January 31-February 1 in Denver. The latest innovations in cultivation, product creation, industry computer technology, etc. – it will all be on display at this event.

The cannabis industry is evolving at an extremely rapid pace. Long gone are the days when someone’s weird uncle supplied local consumers via a 4 light setup in his basement or garage. Techniques and technologies that seemed to be far fetched concepts from an episode of the Jetsons are now a reality in the cannabis industry. I spend more time than just about anyone I know reading about all things cannabis, and there are constantly things coming into the industry that I had no idea were on the horizon.

It is no secret that the cannabis industry is very competitive, and will only get more competitive as time goes on. The cannabis industry is probably the sexiest industry on the entire planet right now, and people are scrambling to get their piece of the pie. Being up to speed on the latest and greatest innovations will likely be the determining factor for many in the cannabis industry as to whether they thrive in the future, or drop out of the industry. There is no better place to gain that ‘knowledge edge’ than at the Seed-To-Sale Show.

The speakers at the event are pioneers in their fields. Hearing just one of them present is a treat, let alone seeing them all dropping knowledge at the same event. Exhibitors at the event are going to be bringing out their inventions for the world to see, some I’d imagine for the very first time. Walking around seeing the ideas people have come up with is always one of my favorite parts about attending an event, and with the exhibitors that this event has lined up, I can only imagine all of the game changing ideas that people will get to check out.

One of the things that I really like about the Seed-To-Sale show is the awards that are going to be part of the event. NCIA’s Cannavation and Cannatech Awards are going to be given out to people that are putting ideas out into the cannabis space that are truly revolutionizing the cannabis industry. Their ideas are helping patients get the most out of their medicine, helping growers get the most out of their harvests, and helping move the industry forward in a responsible, efficient way, which is very important. I can’t wait to see who the award winners are.

If you want to see what the future of the cannabis industry is going to look like, look no further than the Seed-To-Sale Show. If you are already in the industry, this is the event you need to be at to learn how to step up your game. If you are exploring getting into the industry and aren’t sure how to separate the good industry ideas from the bad ones, this is the event you should be attending. Or if you are just a nerdy consumer like myself, this event is going to be stellar and have more groundbreaking cannabis ideas on display than you could ever imagine. To find out more, check out the Seed-To-Sale Show website. Tickets are going fast and the event is right around the corner, so I suggest grabbing your tickets sooner rather than later!
