One of my favorite organizations is Supernova Women. Per their Facebook page, “Supernova is an organization formed by and for Women of Color in 2015 with the goal of utilizing our diverse talents to empower our people to become self sufficient shareholders in the evolving cannabis economy. Supernova is founded with the mission to foster community empowerment through holistic education, advocacy training and skills acquisition. Supernova Women fosters a safe space for hard conversations, and will amplify the messages of our constituents at the local, state, and national level.”
Diversity is needed now in the cannabis industry more than ever. If you are in the area, I strongly suggest you attend this event if you are in the area. Below is more about the event. You can get tickets at Eventbrite:
We know being in the cannabis industry throughout the country can be overwhelming, which is why we want to remind everyone that success is a #jointeffort. Two of our cofounders serve on on the board of California Growers Association, which is hosting its California Cannabis: Envision 2026 conference January 18-19.
After you learn about the legislative future for cannabis in California, join Supernova Women for a night of fellowship for people of color in the greater Sacramento area along with our co-hosts the California Minority Alliance and Conscious Cannabis Resource on January 18.
When: Wed, January 18, 2017 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM PST
