Attend The NCIA Quarterly Cannabis Caucus Tomorrow In Chicago

Illinois’s medical marijuana program has had to overcome a lot of hurdles but appears to finally be growing. As of the end of 2016, there were 49 dispensaries in Illinois serving 15,000 patients. There are now over three dozen qualifying conditions to become a medical marijuana patient in Illinois, which has helped the program grow. Hopefully more conditions are added soon and safe access spreads to more patients.

Illinois will likely see more changes in the not so distant future to its cannabis laws. It will create business opportunities in addition to providing justice benefits to society. There’s literally no better place in Illinois than the Quarterly Cannabis Caucus to get up to speed on where things are at and where things are headed with Illinois cannabis policy. It will also be a great opportunity to get educated on what is going on at the federal level, which is extremely important information to know right now. Below is more information about the event, which is hosted by the National Cannabis Industry Association:

As the cannabis industry heads into 2017 on a tide of new victories and new challenges, the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) will host a Midwest Cannabis Caucus on Thursday, January 26, in Chicago.

The Cannabis Caucus is an educational and networking event designed to update cannabis professionals on the latest in policy and industry developments, while helping connect local cannabis business leaders. NCIA is the only national trade association for legal marijuana businesses in the U.S.

Featured speakers for the event include NCIA deputy director Taylor West.

NCIA’s Quarterly Cannabis Caucus event series educates, connects, and inspires attendees, with a customized state and federal policy briefing and meaningful networking opportunities with regional and national industry leaders. The Cannabis Caucuses are held in the cannabis industry’s eight most active regions during the first month of each quarter.

This event is FREE for current NCIA members and open to other cannabis industry professionals for a donation of $50.
