This page is dedicated to helping newbie marijuana activists (or even long time activists) find other like minded people and organizations to team up with to help end prohibition. There is nothing wrong with being a solo activist. The main thing is that you are doing your part. However, there is power in numbers, so if you are looking to join the ranks, below are some organizations that we support. National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws

NORML is the oldest marijuana advocacy organization in America, and fights for the rights of marijuana consumers everywhere. Co-founders of this blog are proud members of the Portland NORML chapter.

Students for Sensible Drug Policy

SSDP is the springboard for future marijuana activism and industry leaders. If you are a college student, you can find a SSDP chapter on your campus at this link here, or if there isn’t one, you can find out information about starting a chapter at this link here.

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition

LEAP has a unique, powerful voice, as it is an organization comprised of current and former members of law enforcement. If you are a current member of law enforcement, or are retired, and want to speak out about how you have witnessed the War on Drugs fail firsthand, you can find out more about the organization.

Marijuana Majority

Marijuana Majority exists to help more people understand the simple fact that supporting commonsense solutions like regulating marijuana sales and ending marijuana arrests are mainstream positions and that there’s no reason those who support reform should be afraid to say so. It’s a truly fantastic activism platform that you should share with everyone that you know.

National Cannabis Industry Association

NCIA is the only national trade association advancing the interests of the legitimate and responsible marijuana industry. NCIA is leading the unified and coordinated campaign to ensure that the emerging sector is treated fairly under federal law.

Minority Cannabis Business Association

MCBA is the first non-profit organization created specifically to progress the marijuana industry by increasing diversity. Their mission is to create equal access and economic empowerment for marijuana businesses, their patients, and the communities most affected by the War on Drugs. Supernova is an organization formed by and for Women of Color in 2015 with the goal of utilizing our diverse talents to empower our people to become self-sufficient shareholders in the evolving cannabis economy.

Compassionate Oregon

Compassionate Oregon is a nonprofit organization created to increase public awareness of the legislative issues surrounding the use of medical marijuana; to work for safe and reasonable access for patients to medical marijuana; to remove restrictive regulations and fees concerning such access; to ensure the continued availability of medical marijuana through statute first established by an initiative by a majority vote of the people, and to educate patients and health care providers regarding the use and benefits of medical marijuana.

Craft Cannabis Alliance

The Craft Cannabis Alliance is bringing together the smartest and most visionary leaders in Oregon cannabis to shape an industry that consistently adds value to People, Place, Planet, and Plant.

Cannabis Cultural Association

The Cannabis Cultural Association is 501(c)3 nonprofit based in NY which helps marginalized and underrepresented communities engage in the legal cannabis industry, emphasizing criminal justice reform, access to medical cannabis, and adult use legalization.

Massachusetts Recreational Consumer Council

The Massachusetts Recreational Consumer Council (MRCC) seeks to ensure the safety of recreational marijuana consumers by bridging the gaps between communities, local legislators, and Massachusetts businesses.
