Portland, Oregon is home to one of the best cannabis communities on the planet. Oregon has long been a leader on cannabis policy, being the first state to decriminalize cannabis in 1973. Oregon became the second state to legalize medical cannabis in 1998 and voted to legalize cannabis for adult use in 2014.
Oregon is now home to a robust cannabis industry, with Portland (Oregon’s largest city) leading the way. An enormous number of cannabis dispensaries are located in Portland, as are a significant amount of cultivation operations, edible makers, processors, and just about every other type of cannabis business you can think of.
Because of all of that Portland is the perfect setting for the upcoming International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC). ICBC debuted in Portland in 2014, the same year that Oregon voted to legalize cannabis for adult use. Much about Oregon’s industry has changed since then, but the ICBC is the same undeniably stellar event that it has always been.
The ICBC has recently held events in Berlin, Vancouver, and San Francisco, all of which were highly regarded by attendees and members of the cannabis media, and for good reason. ICBC combines business, policy, and celebration in a way that no other event does. It’s truly a unique experience.
Whether you have been to the ICBC before or not, you will not want to miss the event when it comes to Portland September 27-28. The event is going to feature a VIP reception which will provide unparalleled networking opportunities, a full schedule of speakers and panels that will provide enormous insight, as well as an event after party. It’s going to be amazing!
ICBC has been kind enough to extend a discount offer to Weed News readers. You can click this link to purchase ICBC tickets and use promo code WNVIP to get a big discount. You will want to get your tickets ASAP before the event runs out of them.
Weed News will be in attendance and we hope to see you there! You can find out more about the event via the event’s website.
