“I love www.weednews.co! I am personal friends with the founders and will always support them 100%!” – Cannabis icon Jorge Cervantes

I was so excited to see Jorge Cervantes give Weed News a shout-out on Facebook, that I just had to share it with everyone. Anyone involved with the cannabis community knows that Cervantes is a living legend and Oregonian farmers are certainly proud to claim him as a native son. For those not familiar with Jorge, he has literally written both the encyclopedia and bible on cultivating cannabis and his teaching have helped people around the globe.

When Johnny Green told me that Jorge Cervantes was gonna be at his house and asked me if I wanted to hang out, I was so excited to hop in my car and head down I-5 to make the trek from Portland to Salem. Not only was Jorge knowledgeable about growing (of course), but he was just a cool guy to hang out with and hear the multitude of war stories that he can share, while sharing some of our own. It was an honor to talk with the man and I urge everyone to check out Jorge’s books, see him in person when you can, and check out his website marijuanagrowing.com.

Thank you, Jorge Cervantes! Not just for giving Weed News a shout-out, but for recognizing the amazing soul of Johnny Green and Jay Smoker and for helping people around the globe create their own access to medical cannabis.
