Below is an action alert that I received today out of South Dakota:
On Wednesday, January 17, at 8 p.m. CT 7 p.m. MT, Sen. Mike Rounds will host a tele-townhall to listen to the questions and concerns of South Dakota residents. Now more than ever, members of the Senate need to hear from marijuana policy reform supporters like you!
Please consider calling into the townhall and urging Sen. Rounds to support legislation that prevents the federal government from targeting individuals and businesses that are in compliance with state marijuana laws, as well as bills to end federal marijuana prohibition.
Renewed federal interference with state marijuana laws could negatively impact South Dakota’s ability to launch a medical marijuana program in the future, so please make your voice heard! You can find out more about New Approach South Dakota’s efforts to put a medical marijuana initiative on the 2018 ballot here.
