One of my favorite people in the cannabis world is Robert ‘Bobby Tuna’ Platshorn. The Tuna served one of the longest cannabis-only prison sentences in United States history. After his release from prison after almost 30 years, he has dedicated his time and focus towards ending cannabis prohibition. He is one of the best public speakers I have ever seen in my entire life, and his passion for cannabis reform is off the charts. An autographed High Times magazine highlighting his bust is one of my most prized possessions.
Sadly, Platshorn lost the love of his life this week with the passing of his wife Lynne. I have followed the Tuna on social media for a number of years now, and if there’s one thing that I know is that he loved his wife on a level that is very rare these days. She stood by him during his time in prison, and I can’t imagine how sad he is right now.
A GoFundMe was started to try to help the Platshorn family out in their time of need and I encourage everyone to donate to the cause if they are able. If you are not able to donate, please share the GoFundMe page to help get it in front of people that are able to donate.
