NCIA And CCIA To Host Fundraiser For Community Fire Relief Efforts

Wildfires have wreaked havoc on the cannabis community/industry this year all over the West Coast. One area that was particularly hard hit was Northern California. A number of cannabis industry members lost more than just their crops, many lost their houses, possessions, and items that are full of memories and irreplaceable. Unfortunately there’s nothing that can be done that will completely reverse the heartache and tragedy that these people have endured.

However members of the cannabis community can help ease the pain a bit by donating to fire relief efforts, and community members have been doing so in a way that is nothing short of inspiring. An amazing opportunity is coming up to help relief efforts and to network and learn from leading California cannabis community members. The National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) is teaming up with the California Cannabis Industry Association (CCIA) to put on a fundraiser for relief efforts. The fundraiser is taking the place of a previously planned NCIA Quarterly Cannabis Caucus event. Below is more information about the fundraiser, which I hope everyone in the area can attend. A huge hat tip to NCIA and CCIA for stepping up and making this happen!

California Wildfires & Rescheduling NorCal Cannabis Caucus

Due to devastating fires that swept through California’s North Bay area last week, we are postponing our regular quarterly Cannabis Caucus originally scheduled for next Tuesday in Santa Rosa.

NCIA and CCIA are now hosting a cannabis industry fundraiser for community fire relief efforts in Santa Rosa on November 6th!

We hope you’ll join us to help raise much-needed funds for victims of the fires in Sonoma and surrounding counties. The event will be an opportunity for the cannabis industry to come together and provide financial support for the Redwood Credit Union’s North Bay Fire Relief Fund which has been established in partnership California State Senator Mike McGuire and The Press Democrat.

The fires still ravaging the region have displaced thousands of residents, destroyed hundreds of homes and places of business, and have damaged a significant portion of the state’s cannabis crop. All event proceeds will be donated on behalf of the cannabis industry to Redwood Credit Union’s Fire Relief Fund.
