I received the below message from Missouri. Activists in Missouri are working to put medical cannabis on the ballot in 2018. I encourage people to attend if they are in the area:
For the first time, the semi-annual, statewide Missouri Cannabis Conference, hosted by Missouri NORML and Show-Me Cannabis, will be held in Springfield at the Springfield-Greene County Library (4653 S Campbell Avenue, Springfield, MO 65810) on Saturday, November 4th from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Representatives from New Approach Missouri will speak on a panel at the conference, but we also hope that you will join us for a fundraiser the evening before the conference on Friday, November 3rd starting at 5:30.
The event will be held at the Metropolitan Grill (2931 E Battlefield Street, Springfield, MO 65804) and will feature speakers including New ApproachMissouri Campaign Manager John Payne, New Approach Missouri Board Chair and Missouri NORML state coordinator Dan Viets, and the campaign’s newest board member Larry Ellison, a local CPA and recent investor in a cannabis business in Washington state.
Discounted volunteer tickets are available for those who have turned in petition signatures. Please contact John Payne at john@newapproachmissouri to purchase volunteer tickets.
Thank you, and I hope to see many of you in Springfield next weekend!
