Minnesota has a lot of suffering patients. They deserve safe access to medical marijuana. Unfortunately, a vast majority of Minnesota patients are not eligible for Minnesota’s medical marijuana program due to their condition not being on the list of qualifying conditions. There is a meeting coming up in a week that is very important. Officials will be looking at proposed additions to the list of qualifying conditions for Minnesota’s medical marijuana program. Minnesota NORML has created an event, and I encourage readers to come out and attend if they are in the area. Please pass this event along to anyone and everyone that you think would be interested. The Minnesota Office of Medical Cannabis received nine petitions for the addition of new conditions to the medical cannabis program in Minnesota. A review panel will now review the petitions, associated literature, and take public comment.
The second Review Panel meeting will be on Thursday, September 22nd at The Wellstone Center, Anna Heilmaier Meeting Room, 179 Robie St. E St. Paul, MN 55107. The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until public comment has been completed. This meeting will discuss & take public comment for the following petitions:
Treatment Resistant Depression
The first public comment meeting will be/was held on September 8th.
We encourage patients and caregivers effected by PTSD, treatment resistant depression, arthritis, insomnia, and EDS to attend this meeting to tell the panel WHY it is important these patients should have safe and legal access to medical cannabis.
