Massachusetts: Cannabis Control Commission Seeks Public Input On Regulations

massachusetts cannabis

I received the following message out of Massachusetts this week. If you live in Massachusetts, stand up and be heard. This part of the process is extremely important:

The Cannabis Control Commission hearings on its proposed regulations have begun! Check the Cannabis Control Commission website to check whether there is a hearing in your town. The hearings will discuss the commission’s proposed regulations.

If you are available, your support is welcome at any hearing you are able to attend. The regulations proposed by the commission are fair and respect the intent of Question 4 and the will of the people; we should show support for this well-crafted regulatory system that respects voters’ decision to legalize marijuana in Massachusetts. If you choose to attend in person, please be sure to dress professionally and, if you speak, be polite, accurate with any facts, and keep your comments brief.

If you can’t make it to a hearing in person, you can submit testimony electronically by emailing CannabisCommission@State.MA.US by February 15. Your testimony should include your full name and address and contain an attached Word document or text within the body of an email with “Draft Regulations” in the subject line. The commission will post all electronic testimony that complies with these instructions on its website.

Please stay tuned to MPP’s state alerts to stay up-to-date and support MPP’s local and national reform efforts today!

Thank you,
