How Is The 2018 Missouri Medical Marijuana Effort Different Than 2016?

During the course of our campaign to bring legal medical cannabis to Missouri, people often ask me what we are doing differently to avoid the heartbreakingly narrow miss we suffered in 2016.

At the beginning of February, 2016, we had just launched our petition drive. We had collected almost no signatures and only had a few volunteers trained to petition.

By contrast, this year we have already collected more than 180,000 signatures. Our amazing volunteers have gathered more than 97,000 of those, and their ranks and numbers grow every day.

Perhaps most importantly, we are using the most thorough and stringent validation system in the signature collection industry. At any moment, we can call up the number of valid signatures in each of our priority districts.

But even a perfect plan will not succeed without the proper support.

Help qualify medical cannabis for the ballot by contributing $10, $25, $50, or $100 now!

In the next two months, we will conclude paid signature collection and be prepared to submit signatures ahead of the constitutional deadline on May 6. However, there is still much work to be done, and we can’t do it without you.

Check our events calendar for a petitioner training event near you. Or, if signature collection doesn’t suit you for one reason or another, help us pay for signatures by making a contribution now!
