In the month of March, you will have three exciting opportunities to both support our campaign for medical cannabis and learn about the positive changes that our amendment can bring to Missouri patients and the state as a whole.
First, on March 23, the Missouri Cannabis Industry Association will host a conference to benefit the campaign at the City Place Hotel in downtown Saint Louis. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the ticket price includes lunch and entrance to the expo. This will be the perfect event for anyone in the Midwest who has an interest in the emerging cannabis industry.
The featured speakers at this conference will include: Aaron Smith, co-founder and Executive Director of the National Cannabis Industry Association, the largest trade association representing legal cannabis businesses in the U.S., John Downs of The ArcView Group; Mark Slaugh, founder and Chief Executive Officer of iComply, LLC, John Foley, Chief Financial Officer of MediPays, a company which provides financial services to the Cannabis Industry; Coltyn Turner, patient and advocate; Jack Cardetti and myself from the New Approach Missouri campaign; and Mitch Meyers, CEO of BeLeaf.
All the proceeds from this conference will benefit the campaign. Early bird pricing ends on March 13, so purchase your tickets now!
Then, on Wednesday March 28th, we will host John Hunt at the Springfield Brewing Company from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. John is originally from Webster Groves, Missouri, and he has worked in the regulated Colorado cannabis market since 2008 as a patient and caregiver.
After setting up the first licensed cannabis testing facility, Steep Hill Labs, in Denver, he set out to expand his portfolio into the dispensary, cultivation, and extraction market. He works in numerous states with different brands for business development, logistics, and branding. Currently, he is working with a group to become licensed in Conway, Arkansas, and has long advocated for medical cannabis in Missouri. He has a background in accounting, business management, and cultivation and is also a partner in Hunt’s Harvest Nutrients, which manufactures and distributes nutrients for cultivation of all plants nationwide.
Tickets are on sale now, and only 80 are available. They are selling quickly, so go here to contribute for the event now before it’s too late. Discounted tickets for the event are available to volunteers who are gathering signatures. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you qualify and are interested in that option.
Finally, on Thursday, March 29, Dr. Jason Strotheide will speak at the Metropolitan Grill beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Strotheide is the founder and president of Noah’s Arc Foundation of Missouri (NAFMO), which is one of two Missouri license holders for the growing and extraction of Industrial Hemp and manufacturing/dispensing of CBD oil. From the outset, NAFMO has striven to be the “gold standard” for environmentally conscious cultivation, extraction, and manufacturing in Missouri.
As the founder and CEO of an FDA-registered and Health Canada approved nutraceutical company, Dr. Strotheide possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise relating to federal manufacturing guidelines/standards, quality assurance, quality control, and lot/batch control. Dr. Stroheide will speak on the realities of the current CBD program and how we can expect that the New Approach Missouri amendment to create greater opportunities and options for providers and patients alike.
We hope to see you at one (or more!) of these events this coming month!
